On the 13-14th of October the first international meeting of the INNOMET II follow-up project took place in Riga, in Latvia. INNOMET II: Integrated human resources development and monitoring system for adding innovation capacity of labour force and entrepreneurs of the metal engineering, machinery and apparatus sector is funded by EC Leonardo da Vinci II Programme.

TCEB organised an international cluster seminar at Sokos Hotel Viru Conference Centre on 2nd March 2005, where EML Chairman Dr J.Riives introduced also INNOMET influence to cluster development at his presentation "Synergy of Science and Industry as a Basis for Innovation. Local and Global Networks in Industry".

The Estonian Leonardo da Vinci National Agency together with seven National Agencies from the Nordic and Baltic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden) organised a Nordic-Baltic valorisation conference "Integration through Recognition - Innovative ideas, tools and approaches to validation of competencies for Nordic-Baltic and European integration" on January 20-21, 2005, Tallinn, Estonia. INNOMET results were introduced by project promotor Kirke Maar and project coordinator Dr Jyri Riives.
